Location: NYC Rate: $40-42/hr System Administration / Support Public Affairs and Policy Website Content Coordinator: Candidate will work with Worldwide Public Affairs & Policy director and staff to update and keep the internal Public Policy Portal intranet site up to date with the latest documents, toolkits, and messaging materials. Specific projects and communication vehicles include, but are not limited to: - Work with various website stakeholders to update existing content and assist in identifying/developing new content for the internal website. - Catalog and organize incoming content into the correct areas of the website - Summarize content and provide context about the document for users of the website - Send out regular e-mail communications to users of the website on the latest additions and updates - Update the website directly using the Livelink content management system and Sharepoint Qualifications: Desirable candidate will have an undergraduate Bachelors degree. Degree in Public Policy, Public Affairs or related field of study is a plus, but not required. The candidate will: - Strong web computer skills, including utilization of web forms, working with websites, and ability to research on the internet. - Have strong general computer skills on Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. - Effective at working with a diverse set of individual needs and styles from various stakeholders throughout the division. - Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly and effectively summarize documents in concise written form utilizing common language. - Have project management skills and capability to deliver on deadline - Be a self-starter able to work independently on assigned projects with limited supervision and ability to learn and research independently. - Familiarity with web content management tools is a plus. - Basic understanding of html is a plus. General Function: Ensures the continuing operation of IT systems. May maintain systems, databases, servers, and back-up facilities. Applies fixes and upgrades to operating systems, databases, and other systems software. Monitors performance, stress and load tests, and tunes for increased performance. Manages data security and reliability, including backup and restore operations. Keeps informed and trained in advances in their specific field. Capable of performing effectively in a team, or alone and unsupervised. Communicates effectively with team members and management.
