Urgent requirement for Java Developer.need some one local to CA Sacramento, CA Our client is looking for a skilled programmer to cover the gaps in our in-house resources. In addition to superb programming skills in the areas presented below, the proposed candidate must have experience with online transaction processing internet/intranet applications. Experience with programming automated systems which support the general and typical business functions of management reporting, accounting, and document printing; and our specialist system functions dealing with program set up, application processing contracts, and related financial transactions and monitoring, would be considered pluses. The contract resource must have the ability to maintain and develop transaction processing using JAVA including JDK, JSP, and JSTL; and, HTML, XML, SQL, and PL/SQL. Tools used in support of programming development and maintenance include Toad, Microsoft Visual SourceSafe, Apache Ant, and UltraEdit. The resource must also have an understanding of relational database systems; fluency in Oracle, JAVA, UNIX, and associated tools; knowledge of basic administrative functions required fro the maintenance of networked systems running under UNIX and/or Windows NT environments; strong analytical and organizational skills and; as a member of a team, good interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills. Specific knowledge areas include: * Ability to add, modify, and enhance an application while maintaining the existing architecture of the application. * Strong experience in OOP (Object Oriented Programming) design and analysis principles. * JAVA Certification and Oracle Developer Certification; or substantial experience in both. * Strong background and work experience in developing J2EE applications with emphasis on JSP (including SML, HTML, and DHMTML) and JAVA Servlets. * JSTL (JAVA Standard Tag Library) work experience. * Knowledge of JavaScript Programming language. * Knowledge of Web Logic Application Server architecture for deploying and running J2EE applications. * Knowledge of ANT to build War files to deploy to Web Logic Server. * Knowledge of Visual SourceSafe for checking in and checking out application objects.
