Location: St. Louis, Mo Rate: 55-57/hr Duration: 8+ months Length: June 2009 with potential for extension Sap Basis Administrator Responsibilities: Key responsibilities of the SAP Basis Database Administrator include: . Installation, upgrade and maintenance of SAP systems. . Provide database services and consulting to the design and implementation teams and sap support team . Analyze, develop and maintain data architectures and process models within SAP . SAP performance and tuning . Oracle database backup and recovery administration . Evaluation and design of interfaces between SAP R/3 and external systems . Maintenance of the SAP Data Dictionary and Oracle database objects . Migration of SAP application programs and data dictionary objects into production . Cutover implementation support . BASIS configuration administration . Provide emergency support 7 days x 24 hours for SAP Basis. Required Skills: This position requires 5+ years of experience in relational and/or hierarchical database technologies, in-depth knowledge of data modeling concepts, broad knowledge of integrated application development methodology, and client/server technology. Knowledge in UNIX, Oracle and SQL are also required. Experience in SAP Basis, NETWEAVER and ABAP/4 are preferred. BS in Information Systems or equivalent experience is required. An applicant should poses good written and oral communication skills, excellent problem resolution skills, must like working in a team environment and have good interpersonal skills.
