Position: Web Designer
Duration: 6 months
Location: Valley Forge, PA
Best Rate $28/hr - $30/hr - W2
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
a.. Senior-level application web designer.
b.. MUST have excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
c.. Create design prototypes, including graphic design, site navigation, and
layout of content and function for internal ADVISORport projects.
d.. Create visual concepts reflecting content and image as required by
project requirements.
e.. Responsible for designing web page layout and overall usability design.
f.. Responsible for functional prototypes at both the early and advanced
stages.
g.. Work directly with application development to create style guidelines and
standards.
h.. Proactively identify and resolve design and usability issues.
i.. Communicate with both technical and non-technical staff to support
analysis, design, testing, and troubleshooting of project issues as related to
usability and design.
j.. Work on additional projects and tasks as they are assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Required:
· 5+ years of professional web design experience.
1 Demonstrated depth of experience with interactive graphical user
interface design.
2 Advanced prototyping skills using industry standard prototyping
software systems.
3 Strong knowledge of technologies for web page design including
· Javascript, CSS, HTML, XML, Ajax
1 Photoshop, GIMP or equivalent
· Advanced graphical design skills using industry standard graphical
design software.
1 Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
2 Ability to work in a team environment, supporting multiple,
concurrent projects.
3 Strong knowledge of current web design trends and techniques.
4 Detail-oriented with a thorough and systematic approach to problem
solving.
5 Results-driven self-starter that is able to work in a fast paced
team environment.
· Preferred, but not required:
· MS Visual Studio .NET 3.5 Framework
1 Dreamweaver, iRise, Axure, Visual Studio
2 Strong online portfolio displaying user-centered design
3 Microsoft VB.NET and C#
· SQL Server 2005 TSQL programming
