Location: Mason, OH Duration: 6+ months Best rate: $35-37/Hr Best MUST BE LOCAL OR SOMEONE WHO CAN ATTEND AN IN-PERSON INTERVIEW AT THEIR OWN EXPENSES. Job Summary: The technical position is responsible for performing a variety of quality assurance activities with in the MedPlus software product development organization. MedPlus software is focused on the management of medical records and laboratory test orders and results. This position is focused on development of test environments, test plans and test programs for a variety of message based interfaces across multiple products. Principal Responsibilities: 1. Participates in the review of new product requirements. Provides constructive feedback about the consistency and depth of the requirements. 2. Identifies tests that are most appropriate for automation, creates and maintains both automated and manual tests, and applies techniques that insure maintainable test assets. 3. Defines, develops and executes test strategies considering risk and cost of testing. 4. Supports the creation of project plans and activities that track progress against those plans. 5. Design, development and maintenance of test assets. These assets will likely include Web Services client programs, test scripts for automated load testing activities, test scripts for functional testing activities. 6. Execution of test plans 7. Work with development engineers to identify and resolve defects. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 1. Experience Test Director is desirable. 2. Experience with reviewing and challenging requirements 3. Experience designing and implementing test plans. 4. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. 5. Ability to adapt and quickly refocus in an agile software development environment. 6. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. 7. Ability to understand the features and customer expectations of assigned responsibilities 8. Ability to understand architecture of assigned product. Can identify and describe major components and public interfaces. 9. Experience in working with a Medical software application 10. Knowledge of HL7 messages and data manipulation Optional Skills: 1. Experience with MedPlus Care360 (Desirable) 2. Knowledge of HTTP, HTML, XML, SOAP or WebServices (Desirable) 3. Knowledge of, NCPDP, 270/271" is a plus 4. Knowledge Database administration, preferably Oracle Minimum Qualifications: 1. Experience creating software test assets 2. Bachelor's degree in computer science/information systems or equivalent experience. 3. Minimum of Four (4) years of experience in a formal QA role in a software development organization or equivalent experience. 4.
