Responsible to setup and maintains database logins, users, roles and permissions Cluster Upgrade from 2000 to 2005 Monitoring Moving Databases from One location to another location Installations/Service Packs Blocking and Dead Locks Troubleshooting Worked with Workflow in Informatica Lead in the design, coding, testing and debugging of custom queries using Microsoft T-SQL, MDX and SQL Reporting Services per defined technical specifications. Lead the design, coding, testing and debugging of business logic for software applications using T-SQL and MDX per defined technical specifications. Create scripts for Informatic of databases (MS SQL Server Develop quality code that meets project & department standards. Assists and prepares components/packages for implementation and provide support for release. This role responsible for monitoring the database servers, SQL jobs and nightly batch processes. Schedules and monitors SQL server jobs and nightly processes. Implements and maintains the backup/recovery. Review Job documentations and ensure it meats the standards. Performs SQL server administrations; installation/upgrade database server, database creation/deletion, disk space usage, database integrity/consistency, etc Setup and maintains database logins, users, roles and permissions Monitors and optimizes the performance of the database server. Troubleshoots and supports database issues. Provide 24X7 on-call support for database failures and problems REQUIREMENTS: 4 Year college degree - Bachelor or equivalent (math, computer science or MIS preferred) 3+ years functional experience Knowledge of SQL server and Oracle Administration is must. MCDBA certification if preferred. Thorough knowledge of structured query language Must be self motivated, detail oriented, and have a service oriented attitude.
