Position Description:

1. PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for the project management Corporate technology
initiatives.. This position is responsible to ensure the development and
deployment of Corporate technology leveraging the GES System Development
Lifecycle, internal governance and industry best practices.
This position will work closely with both the business stakeholders, GES
team of peers, Infrastructure partners (GO&I) and vendors as appropriate.
Excellent business, communication, influencing and negotiating skills with
the ability to apply these skills appropriately across all levels is
required.

2. ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Describe the top five to ten essential
accountabilities of this position that account for 5% or more of time spent
on an annual basis or are critical to the successful performance of the job,
starting with the essential accountability that you perform most frequently.

65% . Actively manage project milestones, issues, and risks in accordance
with the Software Development Life Cycle
15% . Creating project plans, project dashboards and status reports
5% . Managing project budget and spending
5% . Managing Project Change control process
5% . Vendor Management
5% . Participate and lead in GES Continuous improvement efforts

3. OTHER REQUIRED ACCOUNTABILITIES: Describe any additional accountabilities
not included under the essential accountabilities section, which are part of
the job.
. Initiates project meetings, establishes steering groups and governance
boards where appropriate for size of project
. Conducts project risk assessment
. Leads the project via the project management process including project
charter, business case, project budget
. Drives RFI/RFP, SOW processes and negotiates vendor contracts
. Obtains agreement from all stakeholders, with appropriate
approvals/signoffs
. Manages the software development lifecycle process
. Conducts post-implementation reviews
. Delivers presentations to business and technical partners
. Ensures technology standards are met or leads the development of new
technology standards


4. DIMENSIONS: Provide specific dollars and/or unit measures which indicate
the position's impact or effect on the business (think in terms of revenue
or expense dollars, staff size, etc.).
. Manage medium sized projects (enhancements/maintenance/development) with
budgets of 50k-200k
. Focused on developing deep business understanding (specific to our group)
& develop relationships
. Partner with teams that could include a global presence (off-shore
partners)


5. KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Describe the knowledge, formal
education and skills needed for competent performance of the position.
Specify why the knowledge or experience is required by referring to how it

Experience:
. 4-7 years of related experience with an in-depth understanding of all
components of project management and software engineering processes.
. Experience in Corporate Business Areas such as Human Resources, Finance
(books and records) and/or other Corporate functions (Security, compliance,
content management etc..).
. Experience in managing vendor relationships/SLAs.
. In depth knowledge of systems development lifecycle methodology.
. Experience with Oracle ERP and/or HP PPM systems could be a
differentiating factor for the successful candidate.

. Demonstrates a strong understanding of our corporate business, including
the customer's business processes.
. Excellent consulting, closure, agreement solidification skills
. Demonstrated skill in delivering presentations for all levels of
leadership, clients, stakeholders
