Position: Flash/FLex Developer Location: Emeryville, CA Duration: 6 Months C2H As the Principal Flash/Flex Engineer in our core engineering team, you will play a key role in the definition, design, and implementation of our platform, websites, and e-Commerce business applications. You will be part of a passionate, high-energy team creating compelling new and innovative online paradigms. The ideal candidate must be extremely proficient and demonstrate a track record in leading the design, development, and production of modern high-traffic and high-volume websites. Working in a demanding, agile environment, you will collaborate daily with product and project managers, creative and user experience designers, architects, and peer software and production engineers. RESPONSIBILITIES: a.. Contribute new and unique ideas to the UI design of a Rich Internet Application b.. Create standards-compliant, cross-browser-compatible representations of visual designs with pixel-level accuracy and attention to detail c.. Work with User Experience and Engineering teams to define, maintain, implement, and enforce style guides, standards, reusable templates, and best practices for client-side coding d.. Monitor best practices, trends and new technologies and evaluate for possible adoption e.. Assist development teams with client-side coding and bug fixing as needed f.. Work closely with other Web Developers, Flex Developers, QA, product management and creative/user experience teams to resolve problems g.. Mentor other mid-level Web Developers on RIA best practices and other matters as required REQUIREMENTS: a.. 7 + years experience in web application development using the Adobe Flash/Flex technologies b.. Advanced sense of user experience when creating features and widgets c.. Must have experience with consumer facing websites rich in content and real-time, like AJAX, JavaScript, JQuery, JSON interaction d.. 7+ years with JavaScript and AJAX e.. Advanced knowledge and experience in JavaScript, DHTML, CSS and XML or JSON f.. Experience with RESTful Web Services g.. Understanding of web caching techniques h.. Creative UI design and strong sense of usability i.. Experience with e-commerce solutions and PCI compliance j.. Experience with troubleshooting JavaScript performance k.. Proven track record of identifying and championing new technologies that enhance the end-user experience, software quality, and developer productivity l.. Strong skills in supporting CSS across major browsers m.. Strong skills with semantic XHTML n.. Strong experience in one or more MVC architectures o.. BS in Engineering, IT, or Computer Science or equivalent required (MS preferred) p..
