The selected Software Distribution Specialist will: a.. Test applications and the integration into the production environment. b.. Deploy application to the appropriate user community following change management methodology. c.. Act as the liaison with application stakeholders and vendors. d.. Troubleshoot packaging, testing and deployment issues. e.. Act as the 2nd level technical support of applications on the desktop. f.. Job Requirements g.. 2-5 years experience in software packaging in a medium to large distributed computing environment. h.. Research, analyze, and report on existing packages Windows XP application compatibility. i.. Experience with Netinstall for software packaging and distribution. j.. Knowledge of operating systems (Windows 2000/XP workstation, Windows 2000, 2003 server). k.. Knowledge of Active Directory, network topologies, network protocols, workstation remote control, Windows group policies, Ghost, MS Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, Symantec Antivirus. l.. Experience configuring, supporting and troubleshooting Windows workstations and desktop applications. m.. Recent experience in a Client Server environment. n.. Experience with DII Conflicts, Windows Registry.
