Position: Siebel NOC Systems Administrator

Location: San Jose, CA

Duration: 6 + months 

Best rate: $45/hr on C2C  



I am looking for a Siebel NOC Systems Administrator, below is the job 
description. The position is for 3 months and I located in the San Jose area. 
Let me know if you have anyone who would be a fit, the max rate for this is 
$40-45/hr.

 

Siebel NOC Systems Administrator

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

 

Maintain, manage and monitor highly available systems

Drive proactive improvements in service quality and internal efficiency

Installing, patching, and administering Siebel 8.X on both UNIX and Window's 
platforms

Diagnose direct cause of system impacts

First and second tier resolution of production issues and alerts in a 
time-critical environment

Understand all components of the Customer Service Support infrastructure in 
order to analyze impact of alarms and other system messages

Work with external teams to diagnose complex problems and drive resolutions

Utilize toolset to diagnose and resolve production issues 

Complete tasks required to maintain service levels and availability of all site 
features and functions

Drive root cause investigations and follow-up actions

 

Job Requirements:

 

BS in technical field or equivalent experience

 

Experience Desired:

Installing, patching, and administering Siebel 8.X on both Unix and Window's 
platforms

Support of CTI enabled Siebel Call Centers (CCA experience a significant plus)

Administration, tuning, monitoring, & diagnosis of key Siebel Components: Call 
Center, EAI , Communications Components (e.g., Communication Session Mgr, 
Inbound Receiver, Outbound Receiver) Workflow, Assignment Mgr, EIM

Familiarity with Oracle Siebel escalation and ticketing process (e.g., Siebel 
Support Web)

Initial diagnosis of Siebel process or service termination (e.g., fdr file 
analysis, core pstack/pmap analysis, log analysis, etc.)

Execution of migrations through the use of ADM

Batch scripting leveraging Siebel Server Manager command line

Proven problem solving skills with an emphasis on quick problem resolution

 

Additional Experience Helpful:

Siebel Technical Architecture experience

Siebel Configuration and/or Integration experience

Solaris/Linux systems administration & operational support in a large 
enterprise environment

Working experience with scripting tools, Perl and UNIX shell scripting 

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

Great Communication Skills

4+ years experience administering and supporting Siebel 8.X on both Unix and 
Window's platforms

As part of a 24x7 team supporting always available systems.
