The Programmer is responsible for analysis, design, coding, component and
assembly testing, and documentation of all application code owned by the
Application Team.
Complete Description:
The programmer will be a part of a small project team dedicated to enhancing
the Maine's Job Bank web application by integrating with a third-party tool.
This is new development work within an existent application's framework.
The programmer will work closely with a team lead, graphic designer, and
other programming resources and will perform the following functions:
-Review and understand the Application Team’s workplan.
-Participate in technical design meetings.
-Advise Team Lead on architectural, integration, performance, and security
issues.
-Produce code according to specific assignments based on documentation
provided by the Team Lead.
-Provide status of work to Team Lead.
-Advise junior programmers as needed.
-Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting own work
and work of the Application Team. Develop contingency plans as necessary.
-Detailed functional and process knowledge.
-Utilize deep modeling, design and coding skills.
-Perform unit testing as well as participate in system level testing.
-Interact with 3rd party vendor as necessary to troubleshoot integration
issues.
-Work with server administrators to configure new environment for 3rd party
tools to be integrated into ccWeb application.
