Position : *Web Developer* (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, DHTML) Duration : 12+ months
Location : Rockville, MD Position Summary: The Web Developer supports a dynamic team in and Agile environment implementing federal government development, operations and maintenance requirements. The Web Developer reports to the Project Manager and can function as a team leader or a teammate supporting multiple applications simultaneously. The Web Developer position provides an excellent opportunity to work with emerging technologies and techniques. Professional profile: • Expert level of proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, CSS and DHTML • Working knowledge of Java applets and JSP • Working knowledge of database-driven, browser-based applications • Working knowledge of 508 compliance and cross-browser compatibility • Working knowledge of Quality Assurance processes and web testing techniques • Effective collaboration skills • Very good experience in Database and SQL skills are required • Experience in developing professional web applications and web sites • Experience in the selection of colors, layouts, borders, fonts, images, and icons is a plus Professional qualifications: • A minimum of six years of technical experience required. • Candidates are required to have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field. • Must possess strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail. • Must possess excellent written and verbal communications. • Candidates must support collaboration and team work. Primary responsibilities: • Work collaboratively on a dynamic team to meet aggressive development deadlines. • Maintain and enhance existing Web applications. • Perform unit and system testing of Web applications. • Conduct user acceptance testing and report results. • Must be able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines. • Candidate must be a team player who is willing to teach and learn.
