Job Title: Software Engineer Location: Troy, MI Duration: 6 months *Job Description:* *Automotive Industry experience is a must*** *Position Description:* § Port Vision only ACC algorithm already developed on MPC555 to S12X (GM FCM hardware) § Embedded software development in C for 16/32 bit micro-controllers including application and low level drivers for multiple micro-controllers such as Star 12/S12X, ST7, ST9, Microchip PICs, TI DSP § Experience in developing and implementing software for various rear view cameras, displays and HMI § Knowledge of image processing and/or prior experience with vision based products. § Knowledge and experience in implementing and integrating OEM specific Automotive Vehicle Networks (CAN and/or LIN) embedded software, diagnostics, production test tool interfaces and bootloader for various OEMs § Solid Experience configuring Vector CANembedded, KPIT CAN NOS for various OEMs § Expertise in using CAN & LIN based tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape, neoVI, etc. § Knowledge of an event driven architecture. *Required Skills:* § BS, Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Computer Science, MS desired § 5-10 years of experience in developing software using C in Real Time Embedded software for automotive applications. § Development of portable, reusable and modular software in automotive environment. § Embedded software development in C for 16 bit and 32 bit micro-controllers including application and low level drivers for multiple micro-controllers such as Star 12/S12X, Freescale PowerPC § Experience in developing and implementing software for cameras. § Knowledge and experience in implementing and integrating OEM specific Automotive Vehicle Networks (CAN and/or LIN) embedded software, diagnostics, production test tool interfaces and bootloader for various OEMs § Solid Experience configuring Vector CANembedded, KPIT CAN NOS for various OEMs (e.g. FNOS 1.0.1, FNOS I3v2, FNOS RP, GM LAN, DCX NOS etc) § Expertise in using CAN & LIN based tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape, neoVI, etc. § Experience using a disciplined software development process based on CMM or CMMi process model. § Software Configuration Management tool experience preferably MKS § Excellent communication and inter personal skills required. This person must work well with other engineers in a team environment. § Self-motivation, tenacity, and determination are very useful in this position.
