*Role: Business Systems Analyst* *Client: * *Location: Oakland, Ca. * Interview Process – Phone or Skype *Duration: 6 months with possible extension* *Job Description:* Contract *Business** **Systems Analyst to work on a team providing business analyst services to both the application and infrastructure teams supporting the changes necessary to integrate current processes and technology with new HR/Payroll processes* and technical solution for the University. The person filling this position will work closely with the ITS teams to create functional specifications and to support the business and technical needs as they arise. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • 5-7+ years as a Business Systems Analyst in a software development organization including 2 years experience as a business analyst in the infrastructure domain. • Strong oral and written communication skills – must provide written samples of project artifacts. • Must be able to write detailed business requirements documents, functional design documents, data flow diagrams, entity relationship diagrams. • Experience working with senior technical resources and system architects to document technical requirements and design solutions. • Strong analytical skills. • Strong data analysis skills • Self-starter, can work independently. • Interacts with the client and product team to gain an understanding of the business and technological requirements. • Analyzes requirements and develops functional specification deliverables. • Works with Quality Assurance to ensure proper test case coverage; may assist in unit testing. • May give product presentations and data pulls, as required to support application development and roll-out or infrastructure projects.
