Description:-
· Experience Lead the analysis and development of Mediaroom STB
applications
- Expert on the telecommunications network for delivering voice, data,
and video over DSL
- Expert on BSS/OSS systems for telecom and how to best implement them.
Clearly understand the roles of the various BSS and OSS systems
- Expert on DSL provisioning
- DSLAMs
- Service Routers
- TR-069 ACS Residential Gateways
- Well educated on TDM and VOIP provisioning and architecture
- Well educated on both RF and IPTV technology and architecture
- Experience with or knowledge of Mediaroom IPTV architecture and how to
deliver over DSL
- Strong understanding of Element Management Systems to manage network
elements
- Expert on TR-069 and ACS platforms for managing residential gateways
- Expert on DHCP and QoS-profiles and QoS packet markings for delivering
voice, data, and video over the internet
- P-bit
- DSCP
- Option 82 captures
- 802.1p/q
- IEEE 802.1x authentication with Radius
- VPLS Instances for unique switched traffic domains for certain
classes of traffic
- Understand VLANs and how they are using to manage Ethernet frames
coming from the DSLAM using 802.1Q protocol to provide unique
VLAN for each
customer in both the upstream and downstream direction.
- Some background in IT programming languages
- Experience with SDLC
- Understanding of Agile methodology
- Experience with Infrastructure and server/hardware scalability and
architecture
· Experience developing intricate architectural and technical
diagrams using MS Visio or a comparable tool
Proficiency with MS Office
