Role: Software Engineer in test (send Java + QA with Selenium resumes, Client is looking on Java platform) Location: Rockville MD Rate: $55/hr on c2c Education – (Must have) US University. BS/ MS - Prefer Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MIS, Software Engineering, Math GPA – 3.3+ (should be a sharp cookie). This is not a must have but generally folks with higher GPA’s fare better at Finra per the client (client personal opinion) Note: No manual tester,Need java+QA Education:Non JNTU, TECH Technical experience – (use a path, fresh grad/1 yr exp path; or experienced developer – java/.net/DB developer etc) General - C, C++, Java, python, .net - no specific prog language Unix/Linux OS – nothing specific Oracle, MySQL, RDBMS - nothing specific Weblogic, tomcat webservers - nothing specific Specific to client - Hadoop, hbase, cognos, cloud - aws – nice to have as exposure; at least interest, intrigue etc. Courses for fresh grads, 1 yr exp folks - Data structures, digital logic, computer design, computer arch; compilers, machine language programming languages courses – solid understanding and good projects Analytical and problem solving – (must have) Quick, think on feet, logical reasoning; root cause analysis, problem solving General - (first 2 must haves) Communication – Clear communication skills, quick to understand, adapt, clearly articulate thought process.
