This includes defining the requirements and models that guide technology decisions for the enterprise. • Experience in designing solutions for managing enterprise class storage network solutions around technologies like SAN, NAS, Encrypting file system and products like EMC and NetApp storage devices. • Should have experience with IT infrastructure technologies including but not limited to Windows and Linux operating systems and associated technologies, storage systems, local and wide area network infrastructure, server hardware, video and voice systems, remote access solutions, messaging, mobility, monitoring tools, TCP/IP and DNS and other foundational protocols, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms. • Knowledge and experience with virtualization technologies from Microsoft, VMware, Citrix, client server, cloud computing (private, public, and hybrid) and enterprise collaboration technologies. • Create and maintain Technology Roadmaps and Standards. • Define high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the current and future state. • Lead the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. • Lead the analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise and existing Architectural standards and implementation practices. • Oversee the product selection process for all new technologies and standards. • Develop patching & replication strategy per tier/platform • Oversee and / or consult on all new technology implementations and modification activities (ex. Projects), particularly for “shared infrastructure” solutions. • Consult on application or infrastructure projects to harmonize infrastructure requirements with existing standards and service offerings. • Demonstrate awareness for occasions when it is necessary to modify the existing standards and service offerings to accommodate unique requirements.
