*PRIMARY SKILL IS FLEX DEVELOPMENT BUT COLDFUSION EXPERIENCE IS A MUST HAVE* …*We don’t need ColdFusion with flex* PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT WITHOUT COLDFUSION EXPERIENCE CLIENT IS FINE WITH CONSULTANTS WORKING FOR ANY OTHER LOCATION OF THE COMPANY ACROSS THE COUNTRY FOR A SENIOR CONSULTANT THE CLIENT MIGHT AGREE FOR A WORK FROM HOME OPTION TOO Flex/Cold Fusion Application Developer Location: Woodland Hills, CA Duration: 3 months IT IS A PHONE TO HIRE Description: - Client is looking for a Flex developer who has strong object oriented programming experience to support our technology team in the rapid development of highly scalable and robust web applications. - An ideal candidate would be experienced in developing and optimizing enterprise class applications with Flex 3 using Flash Remoting and ColdFusion 8, 9. - An ideal candidate would have experience using Flex with Messaging (RTMP Protocol). As a member of the technology team: - You will adhere to established coding standards in developing robust, scalable enterprise class applications. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during development and implementation. - Develop and execute unit tests. - Participate in the planning and review of new releases and feature sets. - Design and develop rich user interfaces using Flex 3, Flash Remoting and ColdFusion 9. Project Focus and Responsibilities: - The development of the next release of the Gemini Class Management tool which will be implementing role based security and additional enhancements. - Release 2.0 is an important release to support the diverse needs of the Learning Organization and our clients by allowing administrators to define roles and permissions at a granular level. - Developer Responsibility: - Collaborate with Project Lead and Business Partners to review security requirements. - Help refine existing business requirements. - Coordinate with the database developer proposed database changes to support the application build-out. - Update existing and create new ColdFusion components. - Develop new User Interface feature. - Resolve outstanding UI issues as. - Be involved in testing and demonstrating changes for users. - Incorporating user feedback before final release. - Documentation changes to the User Interface and provide walkthroughs to our documentation specialists so support them in updating user documentation. Required Skills: - 5+ years developing robust, high volume applications application for the web. - 3+ years experience with Flex 2, 3 (MXML and ActionScript 3.0). - 1+ years experience using Cairngorm. - 2+ years experience with ColdFusion components as remote objects. - Knowledgeable in object oriented design and inheritance. - Experience with Source Control tools, Subversion, is a plus. - Strong Analytical skills. - Great communication skills to effectively work in a virtual team environment. - Strong documentation and debugging/QA skills.
