*Responsibilities:*
The main responsibilities of the individual in this position are
definition, architecture, design, development, implementation and
maintenance of Business Systems. The candidate will provide functional
and technical leadership in Software Application development and BI
technologies.
*The candidate is also responsible for the following:
*• System analysis, design and development of new Business Intelligence
applications using Informatica, Oracle BI and BI Publisher.
• Participates in requirements gathering sessions & translates the
requirements into design for development.
• Provides direction and support in installing all components of Oracle
Business Intelligence applications.
• Documents and implements sound design practices for all components of
Business Intelligence applications.
• Effectively analyzes, troubleshoots any issues and defects encountered.
• Effectively transfers knowledge and trains in house staff for the
implementation of Business Intelligence applications.
• Will follow ITs Project Lifecycle and development methodologies.
• Provides direction to QA and UAT staff in developing test strategies.
The position includes implementing industry best practices and staying
up to date on emerging trends in order to implement these when
appropriate. The incumbent will work hand in hand with system and
application developers and business partners to define and implement
standards in this area. The person in this position requires at least 5
years hands on analysis and programming experience, out of which
at-least 3-5 years in Oracle BI technology tools. The candidate must be
able to work as part of a team, as well as with all levels of management.
*Requirements: *
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
required. A minimum of 5 years hands on analysis and programming
experience, out of which at-least 3-5 years using Oracle BI technology
tools.
Must be a technology-savvy knowledge worker who seeks out technology
solutions to business challenges. Specific technology knowledge and
experience needed to produce the desired outcomes include the following:
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interface both with
Business Users and I.T. Staff.
• 5 or more years experience in working with Business Intelligence
applications.
• At least 3 years experience developing Subject areas, Reports and
Dashboards with Oracle Business Intelligence version 10.
• Sound knowledge of Data Warehouse functionality and concepts.
• Sound knowledge of Security aspects of Oracle Business Intelligence
applications.
• At least 2 years experience in leading Business Intelligence
application projects.
• Experience in BI Publisher and Oracle EBS desired.
• Experience in Informatica and/or ETL concepts desired.
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix.
