* * *Title*: Application Developer *Location*: Hartford, CT *Duration*: 1+ yr contract *Interview Process*: Phone Screen/ Face to Face Interview *Job Description:* · Agile assignment focused primarily on significant new phase of Application User interface – strong hands-on development skills required · Expert level knowledge of Javascript. Should be extremely proficient in HTML/XHTML/DHTML, DOM, CSS, JSP, JSTL and XML. · Deep proficiency with a Javascript frameworks - preferably Dojo and ext-js · Must be knowledgeable about current RIA technologies, frameworks and tools. · J2EE Front End expert including experience with Spring Framework (Spring core, AOP, Transaction Management, Acegi) · Experience with Hibernate 3.x a plus · Expert level knowledge of Spring MVC. Experience with other J2EE MVC Frameworks (such as JSF, Webflow, Struts 2) would be a plus · Must possess proven knowledge of Object oriented principles and design patterns. · Ability to maintain currency on tools, methodologies, and technologies. Experience with the Agile methodology a plus · Ability to translate complex technical terminology, concepts and issues in terms understandable to technical and non-technical management and resources staff. · Experience creating XML / XSD specs and Web services using SOAP a plus · Experience with large-scale systems preferred. · Familiarity with a templating engine a plus (i.e. Velocity) · Familiarity with Grails/Groovy a plus · MS/BS in Computer Science or Engineering or the equivalent · At least 5 years experience of enterprise web development participating in the complete product development lifecycle of several successful projects. · 5+ years of Java design and coding experience. Experience with Websphere development tools, MQ and DB2. · Must be a strong team member and have the ability to work independently or as part of a team · Strong interpersonal skills to resolve problems in a professional manner, lead working groups, negotiate and create consensus. · Must be willing to coach/mentor other team members in technology and promote use of development standards · Prior demonstration and proven credibility of exceptional communications and listening skills, appropriately applies the technical/soft skills and can successfully negotiate within multiple levels of the organization. · Strong leadership skills to effectively influence decisions and positively impact progress. · Must be willing to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities. Able to adjust personal style to changing environment. Maintains focus and intensity and remains calm, optimistic and persistent, even under adversity. · Medical Management experience a plus.
