Perform installation, configuration, and implementation of DB2
software across the platforms and operating systems
Support problem resolution, backup and recovery of DB2 database
Develop detailed procedure documents for installation, maintenance
and testing for the project
Manage the databases across the systems life cycle
Coordinate DB2 software changes through the life cycle
Produce design documents and program flowcharts
Create new Subsystems for Integration, Training, Acceptance, and
Production life cycles
Update appropriate DB2 configuration documentation to reflect
changes to the architecture.
Communicate and work with application developers and software
testers to ensure all DB2 resources are identified and defined appropriately
Develop and maintain DB2 configuration document
Develop and maintain life cycle turn over documents
Install DB2 software and third party vendor software using System
Modification Product/Extended (SMP/E) across System Development Life
Cycle (SDLC).
Maintain DB2 software and third party vendor software using SMP/E
across SDLC
Research compatibility between DB2 and third party vendor software
Document changes using Change Management System (CMS).
Support upgrades to DB2 and third party vendor software according
to agreed upon project schedule, which will be provided by the client
