NYC, NY Phone 12+ Months ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide 24x7 supports for the enterprise-wide TSM environment including daily TSM/UNIX administration, problem determination and resolution, and support of a highly virtualized environment. • Performs TSM daily routine maintenance such as reviewing TSM daily activity logs, performing TSM database & storage pool maintenance, and on-site and off-site tape management. • Server/client troubleshooting and resolution of issues related to TSM, tape libraries, VTL • Perform installations and future software upgrades of TSM software including LAN Free, TDP, and NDMP Backup configurations. • Perform pro-active maintenance and system tuning including firmware upgrade to TSM, tape libraries and host operating systems. • Responsible for planning and executing annual DR exercise. • Assist with performance troubleshooting and analysis • Provide on-going engineering/design direction for all software and hardware related to TSM infrastructure including VTL appliances, physical tape libraries, etc.... • Plan, engineer and implement new technologies to maintain and improve the existing backup infrastructure • Establish TSM standards and best practices to be used by the rest of the IT technical teams • Identify opportunities and implement process improvements based on automation or elimination of unnecessary administration • Develop and implement scripts to streamline ongoing management of the TSM environment • Remain current on the latest technology as new versions of TSM, Power hardware and AIX software are released • Participate in on-call support rotation Required skills: • 7+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, administering/managing of IBM TSM backup environment running on AIX and various type f tape library systems in a large scale enterprise • Intermediate hands-on experience with AIX 5.x, 6.x and 7.x Operating System • IBM TSM 6.x / 7.x certification is strongly desired but not required. • Previous Disaster Recovery design/implementation experience is highly desirable • Experience in a fast-paced, high pressure environment with multiple active projects • Working and interact effectively with multiple areas across infrastructure and application organizations to deliver projects *Thanks and Regards,* *Warm Regards,* *Randhir Kumar* *IDC Technologies* *1851 McCarthy Blvd. Suite 116, Milpitas, CA 95035* *Email: **randhir.ku...@idctechnologies.com* <randhir.ku...@idctechnologies.com> *Phone: * *408-459-1535 Web: **www.idctechnologies.com* <http://www.idctechnologies.com/> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "IT RECURITER" group.
