Company: Axiall Location: Atlanta, GA Position: Network Security Engineer Duration: Long term contract Start: ASAP *Notes from this manager:* We are not looking for a security analyst We are looking for a hands on expert level paloalto firewall administrator Several years with paloalto 10 plus sites with paloalto firewalls Panorama management expertise Hands on expertise in one or more of the following areas ( not necessarily in order of importance) Cisco route and switch Cisco data center switching (nexus) Cisco asa firewall|vpn Cisco| avaya Voip Cisco wireless The Network\DC Engineer is responsible for the operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security infrastructure in a large, multi-site, diverse enterprise network. This position will take part in the daily support activity in both a proactive and reactive support roles. Candidate will monitor and review alerts and logs for security events as well as work with MSP and Security team on security related issues. Candidate must be able to learn new technologies quickly and have a broad range of skills encompassing data centers, network hardware, security hardware, Windows Server, and Active Directory. Some travel expected, excellent customer interaction skills and occasional scheduled off-hours service for upgrades and maintenance will be required. Candidate must be customer-service-minded and tactful when dealing with customers and all levels of management. Attention to detail is vitally necessary including the ability to independently follow-up on details until a problem is resolved and projects seen through completion. Duties and Responsibilities: • Interpret analysis reports to design security solutions to protect the Axiall environment. • Implementation and maintain of security technology and monitoring software (i.e., firewall, Intrusion Prevention Systems, NAC, Web Filtering, Email Filtering, Remote Access, and Encryption). • Identify, resolve, and report security violations in a timely fashion to protect and prevent network resources and data from unauthorized users. • Maintain documentation on Security Operations Process and Procedures. • Keep Ticketing and work order system logs up to date in timely manner. • Research and stay current on all security technologies, issues, and vulnerabilities, including security vendor's products. • Incident identification and response. This includes correctly identifying and evaluating incidents. • Perform periodic vulnerability assessments of all applications and network elements for adherence to client policy. Producing reports and generating alerts as necessary. • Analyzing networks to ensure their security against unauthorized use. • Administration of the Firewalls: policies implementations, regular rules review & cleanup, maintain the Firewalls product to up-to-date version, support for incidents. • Reactive support of security related issues on both Windows & Linux platforms (servers) • Bridge support between IS Security, Network Services, and Data Center Operations to facilitate support. • Work with MSP and Security team on incident resolution and goals. Education and Experience: Required Skills: • 5+ years demonstrated experience with security infrastructure technologies like Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Email Encryption, encryption, vulnerability assessment, and other security related disciplines. • In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, IP Addressing, IPSEC VPN, Packet Capture and analysis, and normal operations of Active Directory, Windows OS, deep understanding of OSI model • Working knowledge of SIEM, Vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus, Pentesting tools (Nexpos, Metasploit, etc). • Routing, Switching, Virtualization (VMware 5+). • Windows Server 2003/R2, 2008R2, 2012 • Active Directory experience under Windows Server 2012 Personal attributes: • Ability to function independently with minimal supervision and within a collaborative team environment. • The candidate must be a team player with a positive ‘can-do' attitude who must be able to assist team members when required, with strong oral and written communication skills. • The candidate must set aside time for proper documentation and project planning • Sharp analytical skills to identify complex problems at the network, systems and application layers • Attention to Detail Education and experience required: • Bachelor's degree in computer science or Information Systems, or equivalent combination of formal education, training, and experience. • Prefer individual to be a Certified in CISSP, CCNP, or CCNP Security. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "IT RECURITER" group.
