*Position: Business Analyst/ Windows/ VMware Engineer* *Location: Fort Worth, TX* *Duration: 6-12 months+* *DESCRIPTION:* The Business Analyst is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. The Business Analyst ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to security policies and organizational values. Creates, maintains, and owns infrastructure related technical specifications, designs, and schedules with little direction from manager. Forges strong relationships across departments, communicates infrastructure needs and interests to project teams and others. *QUALIFICATIONS:* • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent enterprise experience • MCSA Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) &/or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) a plus • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Certification a plus • Infrastructure Engineer related solutions for various projects and operational needs. • Install new/rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements. • Develop and maintain installation and configuration documents. • Contribute to and maintain system and security standards. • Research and recommend innovative and, where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks. • Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale. • 5-7 years of strong background and Experience with Windows-based (Server 2003/2008 & 2012). • 5+ years’ experience with VMware/hypervisor • 5 + years Application administration, monitoring and supporting • Proficient with deployments, Installs, configurations, maintenance, and patching of multiple application servers apache-tomcat • Experience in Jboss and PostgreSQL is a plus • Thorough understanding of enterprise system design challenges. • Under Graduate degree in CS/CE/MIS or Engineering/Technology or related field. • Professional level vendor certifications, such as ITIL, VMware, Microsoft, and/or Linux. • Design, review, analyze, develop, implement and maintains complex software applications and services. • Work closely with software architects to ensure decisions meet long term enterprise growth needs • Maintain current applications which include, but is not limited to, deploying bug fixes and feature enhancements, researching/troubleshooting issues, and performance tuning • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues; Identify and implements solutions. • Research and implement new technologies and patch sets to enhance current processes, security and performance • Develop and Maintain system and application documentation with regard to troubleshooting, maintenance, start/stop, logging, etc. • Participate in a duty rotation providing 24 x 7 supports of production systems and applications. • Experience implementing application & system monitoring tools • Have understanding of Java applications, and J2EE framework. • Identity Management including with LDAP / Active Directory • Must have Networking Knowledge (Sockets, TCP/IP, UDP) • Ability to scrutinize applications and services to ensure they adhere to security standards. • Demonstrated Agile methodology experience, including technology delivery methods • Knowledge of working in a SOX/PCI Compliance environment • Excellent verbal and written communication *3+ YRS WORKING EXPERIENCE IN THESE AREAS* 1.
