*DESCRIPTION*

The Development Operations Architect will work collaboratively with the
Continuous Integration and Development teams to boost the overall
organizational performance. You will be looked to for setting and advancing
our overall DevOps technical strategy.You will help architect, streamline
and automate our operations and processes through build and test
automation. Partner to build and maintain tools for deployment, systems
monitoring and operational support; troubleshoot/resolve issues in our
automated development, test and production environments.You will provide
leadership support in all areas of Development Operations and Software
Configuration Management including configuration item identification,
application build management, develop scripts for automation, develop and
maintain branching strategies, provide configuration status accounting, and
ensure configuration management procedures are followed.You will be looked
to for researching, recommending and developing innovative and progressive
development operations solutions and providing justification for your
proposed solutions. You will be expected to mentor other team members.You
must be team oriented and possess a continuous improvement mindset that
contributes to the overall success of our development operations vision.

*RESPONSIBILITIES *

Establishes and communicates a broad technical vision and encourages
development teams to adhere to the principles, guidelines and standards
that have been established.In addition to creating the vision, the role is
responsible for working with the development and
operations teams to assess, create and manage a roadmap to realize the
vision. Works with IT projects, programs, and operations to ensure
alignment with the overall strategy and objectives. Anticipates future
technology needs and business requirements to drive new technological
approaches and tools.Works with product vendors and 3rd party providers to
evaluate options and tools. Interacts and communicates effectively with
internal and external customers to clarify business, operational or
technical requirements. Builds consensus across stakeholder groups
including management and individual contributors.Author internal
documentation, such as environment diagrams, installation/configuration
documents and presentations. Assist in establishing and implementing
configuration management program and policies. Acts as a DevOps evangelist

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related discipline, 5 to 10
years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in the development of high volume,
mission critical applications in heterogeneous environments/architectures
for multi-user systems
A minimum of 5 years of technical leadership and infrastructure
architecture experience.
Proven success in defining architectures that satisfy security,
scalability, high availability, and network management/monitoring
requirements.
Strong understanding of current technology approaches, techniques and tools
used for emerging trends,including data science and analytics, SOA, and
cloud “-as- a-service” offerings.
Must demonstrate proficiency in architecting large scale solutions using
infrastructure automation techniques on “on premise” and hybrid cloud
services: Microsoft Azure, AWS, etc.
Experience with TFS Release Management, Octopus Deploy, Docker is required.
Strong scripting skills with PowerShell, PowerShell DSC, Perl, Python.
Experience with TFS migrations is preferred.
Experience with other continuous integration and deployment automation
tools and various container technologies is preferred.
Experience with relational databases and the design of highly available,
distributed database applications.
Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Experience with automated testing tools is preferred.
Expertise in a broad set of technologies and tools: C#, .NET, Java EE, EJB,
MSMQ, JMS, IIS, Python,Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, GO, etc.
Up to 30% of domestic travel will be required

project risk.

Demonstrate effective project leadership and ability to develop strong
working relationships.
Must be able to learn quickly, work in a fast-paced, team-driven
environment and have the ability to communicate well with technical and
non-technical personnel.
Willing to work after hours and weekends (as needed).
Must be able to multi-task, manage details and keep sight of overall
objectives.
