*Job Description*

The primary objective of the job family is to establish the systems
architecture and perform the design and development activities for
scalable, high-performing, flexible, and reliable technical solutions using
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.  These roles
contribute to the success of Tufts Health Plan and position the Company to
meet its strategic objectives by:

·         Providing technical solutions that enable Tufts Health Plan to
successfully maintain business operations;

·         Automating critical business functions and creating
administrative and process efficiencies through technology;

·         Enhancing existing technologies to increase performance
capabilities and meet changing business needs; and,

·         Ensuring that Tufts Health Plan’s enterprise data, applications,
and services are fully aligned with business and operational goals.



Applies knowledge of programming techniques and development technologies to
build software components that perform in accordance with the design
specifications and architecture standards.



*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (in order of importance)*



·         Codes components based upon the assigned technical design.

·         Follows SDLC methodologies in performance of all development
activities, including design, development, test and quality assurance
support.

·         Strong knowledge of SQL server and SSIS.

·         Performs production support activities.

·         Produces required system documentation for all assignments.

·         Complies with departmental quality assurance, audit, design and
code review standards – CMMI.

·         Participates in and contributes to technical requirements,
operational support documentation, and design work.

·         Proficient communication skills, by proactively and regularly

·         Ability to articulate technical issues and analysis via formal
written documentation or oral communications

·         UML – Unified Modeling language.

·         Multiple SDLC methodologies
