Performance Test Engineer Seattle, WA Long Term *Note*: Local to Seattle, WA nearby preferred. Work Authorization: H1B with at least (Minimum 1 year of Visa Validity, no exception) /EAD/GC / USC Interview: 2 rounds of Skype Responsibilities: - Meet with application teams and project leadership to determine load test requirements and success criteria. - Hands-on experience with performance testing requirements preparation, execution, and analysis. - Experience in design, development and execution of performance suites using performance tools for SOAP and REST Services, Microservices/API, PCF based applications. - Perform analysis of load test results to confirm accuracy and evaluate any performance issues. - Coordinate with multiple application development, architecture, infrastructure and engineering teams for performance defect resolution. - Present load test results and analysis project management. Key tasks include: - The Performance Test Engineer will mainly focus on integrating performance testing tools with DevOps CI/CD. - Performance Monitoring and Bottleneck identification of Resource Utilization - Complete the performance tests with right quality and detailed report. - Nonfunctional requirements (NFR) Review, Analysis, Finalizing the Scope and planning & scheduling of the Performance Tests strategize and Plan Nonfunctional testing (NFT) activities with various groups (Development, Infrastructure, Database etc.) and secure test environments in advance. - Analyzing NFRs and negotiate with stakeholders on scope and strategy NFT status tracking and reporting Produce comprehensive test Estimation / test plans / test strategies / test execution / test completion report for Performance Testing. - Coordinate NFT activities with various groups (Development, Infrastructure, Database etc.). - Review Test Execution and Analysis on Test Reports. Qualifications - 8+ years’ experience in the performance analysis or performance engineering field must possess a strong knowledge of enterprise application architecture and technologies including web, web services, Micro services, PCF, distributed databases, Linux systems and messaging layers. - Must be experienced with real-time, services testing methodologies and approaches. - Must be experienced with batch or background testing methodologies and approaches using tools for functional and/ or performance, stability, scalability, and reliability testing using Load Runner, WebTest, JMeter or others - Must also have a strong understanding of the monitoring solutions and KPIs used to determine used to determine availability and performance of these technology stacks. - Must be able to create and validate load test scripts in at least two or more of the following protocols: HTTP, SOAP, AJAX Click and Script, ODBC, Terminal Emulator and Java. - Must be able to perform in-depth analysis of load tests both in real-time during test execution and in post-run review to determine test validity, discover the root-cause of any failures, and report on any performance issues or defects - Extensive experience in performance testing and engineering of mobile, web, desktop, web services/ SOA apps and related architectural level hands-on knowledge - 3 years SQL experience and an ability to write intermediate to complex SQL code - Entrepreneurial spirit to get great things done for the team and the business Performance Tools: HP Load Runner, HP Performance Center, JMeter or OATS / QALoad.
