Primary function is to administer and manage Safeco's Messaging environment and assist with design and implementation of Exchange 2007. Assist IT management as a strong technical resource for anything related to Exchange. Responsibilities: Implementation and administration of messaging environment including server builds, upgrades, and monitoring. Server Backup and restoration experience in a SAN environment Diagnose and resolve unique and complex system problems Provide technical solutions from business requirements Follow system security policies and procedures. Install and configure monitoring and alerting tools as required Increases and maintains proficiency as an 'Industry Expert' on Microsoft messaging technology, methodologies, and concepts Establish and follow policies and procedures for infrastructure implementation\administration and problem resolution. Responsible for systems management, performance monitoring and benchmarking, support and maintenance of server infrastructure Create and update documentation of corporate systems hardware and software matrix. Experience defining and implementing best practices security and auditing server security compliance Will require some weekend work and call support on weekends and nights. Requirements: Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience. 5 + years experience administering Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007, Microsoft Active Directory and Windows servers in a large scale data center environment.
