Job Description
• Design and monitor construction of an enterprise data warehouse, working
with a team of engineers.
• Design and monitor construction of user-facing presentation tools, such as
Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services reports.
• Design and monitor construction of ETL processes.
• Establish and implement standards and strategies for data management,
lifecycle, and quality.
• Explain and teach business intelligence and data warehouse concepts
throughout the company.
• Define best practices and standards for the data modeling process.
• Creation and maintenance of the logical and physical data models for the
production and Business Intelligence data warehouse and data marts
• Participate in data design walkthroughs to communicate data warehouse and
Data Mart table designs to ETL developers
• Develop prototype views and reports of the data, and work with business
users both internal and external to refine their requirements
• Demonstrate self reliance in researching technical solutions and product
functionality
• Continuously improve upon existing approaches by seeking opportunity to
creatively transform current business practices into fresh alternative
solutions
• Identify critical integration issues and develop corrective solutions
• Requires hands on development and technical guidance to project team
members
• Communicate with team members to assess progress of deliverables
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements / Skillset
Strong experience working in Microsoft SQL Server and the Microsoft Business
Intelligence Stack (SSRS, SSAS and SSIS).
Strong experience designing relational and multi-dimensional models.
Knowledge of administration of SQL Server for transactional and analysis
systems
Knowledge of SharePoint Integration for SQL Server Reporting Services
Knowledge of Windows Servers Administration
Able to work remotely for distributed development teams.
Specific Knowledge of SCCM and Deployment Requirements for BI/DW Projects
General Criteria
6 to 8 years experience in application development environments.
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, computer science, engineering,
or equivalent experience.
Ability to work collaboratively with engineers at different levels of
experience, and to be a mentor.
You can lead through influence, rather than positional authority.
Excellent problem solving and strong communication skills.
Structured and organized – Excellent management of time and priorities.
Strong customer service orientation.
High professional and ethical standards.
