SQL Server Development DBA/Architect - eCommerce

Our client, an Internationally Ecommerce company, is seeking a strong
Microsoft SQL Server Development DBA / Architect for a 12+ month contract
opportunity. This person will be responsible for the architecture of the
Feed Processing systems and enhancement and development of systems and
tools. Partnering with the online technology team, this Architect/DBA will
design, develop, review, and administer all processes, SSIS packages, stored
procedures, and calling interfaces to support and sustain the reliability,
integrity, and scalability of the client's production and mission-critical
eCommerce applications, environments, and infrastructure.



Required Skills:



. 8+ years SQL Server 2005 database design and administration experience
within a high volume, transaction-oriented web environment (eCommerce or
trading environments preferred)

. Large-scale ETL experience with SQL Server REQUIRED

. Experience emphasizing on XML feeds and performance tuning

. Windows 2003 / 2010

. SSIS, SQL Server clustering & datamodeling & design required

. Expert knowledge Transact SQL (T-SQL)

. Good knowledge of relational databases (concepts and constructs)

. Knowledge of distributed architecture and design

. Thorough knowledge of data backup, recovery, and rollback
planning/implementation

. Proficiency in SQL Server 2005 optimization, fine-tuning, and scalability
techniques

. Thorough knowledge of data security issues

. Strong knowledge of network architecture and topology

. BS/BA in Computer Science or related field (advance degree preferred)

. MCDBA preferred
