Director Quality Assurance Location: NYC Full Time WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING In order to accelerate our leadership position in the rapidly evolving and high growth social activity advertising space, CLIENT seeks a Director level Quality Assurance Manager with 5-7 years experience. The candidate should have a solid Engineering background and a passion for technology and should be able to work efficiently, independently, effectively in a test-driven high-paced Agile & Scrum SDLC environment. Candidate needs to have recent & relevant industry experience in testing methodologies for Advertising, Social Media and/or Social Activity Applications. This position reports directly to VP Infrastructure & Architecture and will be located at its headquarters in New York City. WHAT YOU NEED TO QUALIFY • Expert in managing the Quality Assurance functions within a technology organization. • Develop, manage processes/business systems; effective written, verbal and presentations skills; strong influencing skills at all levels; strong influencing skills to lead the decision-making process with executive management, peers and subordinates. • Able to manage and lead all cross department/functional QA teams in a Quality Assurance Managerial Role. • API testing methodology and experience required. • Mobile SDK , I-device & Android based mobile application testing experience preferred. • Working knowledge of data testing using databases like MySQL and noSQL variants (Mongo, Hadoop) required. THE DAY TO DAY • Work closely with product and project managers on the implementation of new projects and infrastructures including operational readiness, change preparation, change execution, and post-change QA validation. • Architect and implement agile testing practices for globally distributed teams and define manual and automated test management processes. • Lead test automation team in multiple automation projects. Evaluate and implement automated testing software eg: Write test automation framework and test plans/cases and test code in Java/JUnit/JMeter/QTP. • Introduce, develop, maintain, and periodically update the QA Test Plan Procedures Manual , Objectives and Philosophies. • Responsible for setting, reviewing, and execution of the operational QA plan that compares well with industry best practices for comparable industry/environments. • Schedule and conduct daily QA team meetings with offshore QA team. • Develop and follow through on quality assurance initiatives. • Document errors and unexpected results for technical development teams and escalate. • Working to a critical path and ensure all QA requirements are delivered on schedule and meets technical quality. • Develop and implement SDLC processes to monitor, log and improve platform availability and performance. • Develop and implement load testing strategy for API and other platform services and capture metrics. • Fun and energetic team dynamic, fast-paced environment. • Ability to multi-task, Enthusiasm for problem solving & Sense of humor.
