Currently seeking an experienced Applications Systems Analyst for client
located in greater Boston area!
Scope of Duties:
- Design, develop and implement Java based web applications.
- Enhance existing application to add new functionality and optimize them to
improve performance .
- Provide day to day production systems support including trouble-shooting
and fixing issues as they occur.
- Share knowledge and development techniques among the team
- Document requirements and use cases for enhancement requests.
- Create and monitor development or implementation plan.
- Prepare technical documentation for all new development and updates to
existing applications.
- Build code to UAT and production environment.
- Log bugs and communicate about application issues with other application
developers
- Collaborate with other developers to ensure consistency with enterprise
architecture and standards
- Participate in technical discussions and design decisions
Experience and Skill Level Requirements:
- 5-7 years experience developing Java web-based applications in a
multi-tiered environment
- J2EE experience including (but not limited to) JSPs (and HTML), Servlets,
JDBC, XML Schema, and JavaScript.
- Experience and working knowledge of EJBs
- Must possess exceptional debugging and analytical skills
- Experience with SQL programming, Oracle 10g, JDBC, SQL, PL/SQL and
writing moderate to complex SQL queries
- Practical in-depth knowledge of the fundamentals of object-oriented design
and programming; component design and development
- Strong team player.
- Demonstrated discipline, self-reliance, dependability, and good judgment.
- Good oral and written communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Single sign-on experience is a plus
- Knowledge of Weblogic 9.0 and above.
- Good understanding of web services and their interaction with other J2EE
applications.
- Experience in struts, hibernate and deploying applications in a clustered
environment.
- Experience developing applications interfacing with Oracle 10G
