Location: Columbus, IN

Contract: 6 months


*Job Description:*

As Oracle SOA Suite Administrator (OSA) you will be responsible to ensure
performance and availability of enterprise systems across multiple
distributed systems infrastructure technologies to meet business needs.
OSAs install and configure, perform problem determination and resolution
for system software and application software, as well as being responsible
for the administration and support of platform specific OS (operating
system) implementations. OSAs determine data recovery, maintenance, data
integrity, space and storage management requirements across
platforms.

*Job Duties:*

·         Server Installation and Maintenance
Install, Configure, and Maintain Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Products in
standalone and clustered environments on Solaris OS Platforms:
-Oracle WebLogic Server (WLS) 11g
-Oracle Business Process Management Suite (BPM) 11g
-Oracle SOA Suite 11g
-Oracle Service Bus (OSB) 11g
-Oracle Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) 11g
-Oracle Access Manager (OAM) 11g
-Oracle HTTP Server 11g
As senior technical team member, OSAs major responsibility will be to
create instruction documents. Hence Experience in creating instruction
documents of installation, configuration and maintenance tasks is a must.

·         Maintain Application Environment
-Understand the processes and procedures for computer hardware and software
maintenance and installation.
-Ensures that the technical environment is updated with current, stable
versions of software products that comply with approved architecture and
system standards.
-Ensures availability and performance of SOA environment.
-Conducts proactive/reactive performance monitoring / analysis to identify
system errors and bottlenecks to assist in tuning WebLogic and supported
Applications.
-Plans, coordinates, tests and implements installations / upgrades /
releases of systems, software and hardware.
-Determines change specifications, input/output processes, and working
parameters for hardware/software compatibility, etc.
-Monitoring servers using Grid Control and other monitoring tools and
handling alerts, notifications.
-Coordinate Activities with Other Teams
-Create and Maintain Accurate Documentation
-Documents and maintains installation procedures, problem resolutions, and
environment configurations.
-Document and maintains Disaster Recovery procedures.
-Contributes to the development of policies and procedures related to
installation, maintenance and inventory.
-Documents and maintains procedures and requirements for external
integration into applications.

·         Problem Resolution
-Lead Production Support issues/problems as required. Respond to and
resolve production support issues.
-Work closely with other technicians to diagnose and resolve issues related
to the design and maintenance of infrastructure, hardware and software
-Determines when appropriate to escalate to external vendors

·         Subject Matter Expert (SME) Responsibilities
-Oracle Infrastructure SME to the application development teams tasked with
providing guidelines and direction for application development.
-Responsible as SME for Oracle infrastructure providing direction to
application development teams.

·         Evaluate software packages, ensuring that they fit within
architecture and infrastructure.

·         Provide timely and accurate on-call support for production
infrastructure components.

·         Administer SOA environments for several in-house-developed and
vendor-supplied applications.

·         Provide training or mentoring to other team members on tools or
architecture concepts as needed.

*Minimum Job Requirement:*

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

·         In-depth understanding of Oracle Application Suites
Configuration, Administration and run-time environment.

·         Solid experience with technologies, systems, subsystems across
multiple platforms.

·         Superior communication skills both written and oral

·         Superior analytical and troubleshooting skills

·         5+ years’ experience administering WebLogic/J2EE environment.

·         1+ year’s experience administering WebLogic/J2EE environment 11g.

·         1+ year’s experience administering BPM/SOA suite environment

·         Experience in configuring, monitoring and tuning Oracle
Applications in a clustered and high-available environment

·          Expert knowledge and experience of System Development Life
Cycle, product development methodologies, database methodologies and system
integration

·          Experience with Production Support and dealing with problem
resolution.

·          On-call for production support during nights and weekends
·          Demonstrated proficiency and experience with:
-SQL or similar query language for Oracle, DB2 or UDB
-Standard desktop applications such as MS Office Suite and flowcharting
tools such as Visio.
