Network Engineer


Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills

. Must have 3 years of experience in Firewalls, primarily Cisco ASA
. Nice to have experience in Load balancers, F5 BigIP
. Must have 5 years of strong experience in Route/switch
. Nice to have WAN optimization experience
. Nice to have experience in DMVPN support
. Nice to have experience in Client VPN (IPSec and Anyconnect) configuration
and support
. Must have 3 years of experience in B2B VPN
. Nice to have tool knowledge and administration experience of Solarwinds
support and configuration
. Must have good experience in Wireshark / Riverbed Cascade - sniffer/span
port configuration and analysis
. Nice to have experience in Netflow
. Must have experience in Proxy/Ironport support
. Must have experience in Wireless - Cisco, Motorola, and Meraki
. Nice to have experience in Videoconferencing - device mgmt, bridging
. Must have 5 years of experience in WAN carrier support and management
. Must have 5 years of experience in L2 and L3 network design and
engineering
. Must have good Project Management experience
. Nice to have experience in Voice - Call Manager, Unity, Call Center (opt)


Roles and responsibility

. Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including
routers, switches, and other hardware.  Design and implement the global
enterprise networks.
. Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for
fulfilling business objectives and processes.
. Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards
to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.
. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
. Collaborate with management and department leaders to assess near- and
long-term network capacity needs.
. Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network
component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications.
. Assist in designing and implementing disaster recovery plans for LAN and
WAN network connections and protocols.
. Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration,
network mapping, processes, and service records.


Desirable Technical / Functional Skills

Ensures the stability and integrity of the global enterprise voice, data,
video, and wireless network services. This is achieved by planning,
designing, and developing local area networks and wide area networks across
the organization. Participates with the design, implementation, monitoring,
maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software,
and communication links. Analyzes and resolves network hardware and software
problems in a timely and accurate fashion.  Responsible for developing and
leading major network technology implementations and initiatives.  Leads the
mentoring and development of others as it relates to network technology and
related major initiatives
