Please find the requirement currently open. * CISCO Wireless Network Engineer * NYC 3 Months $40/hr * KEY TO ROLE: MUST HAVE CISCO AND WIRELESS EXPERIENCE* I. Position Summary The Wireless Network Engineer will be responsible for ongoing maintenance, support and configurations relating to the enterprise production wireless system and ensuring capabilities for various operations. Provide technical expertise related to the core components of the wireless infrastructure, management systems and optimization of wireless signaling. The implementation activities to be performed by the engineer includes device configuration, equipment installation, integration, implementation and migration, testing and troubleshooting. The engineer will also ensure solution and operational issues are thoroughly documented and consistent with our long-term roadmap for wireless service capabilities. II. Position Activities A. Operational support and troubleshooting production issues to optimize wireless networking throughout the campus environment. B. Develop wireless network infrastructures and make recommendation on systems enhancements for optimization. Adjustments to radio network parameters, adding/deleting of neighbors and recommending possible solutions to hardware problems. C. Design and validate RF link performance, quality and reliability. Ensure wireless frequency and stability for all areas within range. D. Will require physical replacement, installation and troubleshooting of Access Point hardware. Analysis of wireless drivers and recommended drivers to remote access devices. E. Use measuring and diagnostic tools to test and adjust wireless technologies. Monitor and analyze statistical data to improve system performance. F. Able to assist in the planning, configuration, deployment and support of campus LAN/WAN infrastructure. G. Facilitates and coordinates the work of vendors, suppliers, and wireless systems engineers in the resolution of systems fault. H. Participates in the evaluation of vendor hardware, software, and wireless communications products; recommends purchases consistent with WCMC short and long term objectives. Participates in the design and implementation of selected software and hardware solutions, systems, or products in an Enterprise Wireless Environment. This will include both new systems, as well as upgrades to existing solutions. I. Documenting advanced Enterprise Wireless Solutions using tools such as VISIO, Excel and Word Documents to depict physical and logical associations and integrations. J. Other duties as required. III. Minimum Requirements A. Bachelors Degree in Computing Science or related field. Related work experience may substitute for some years of education. B. Aruba Networks or Cisco Systems certifications are highly desired, certification in one of these areas may also substitute for some education. Strong emphasis in wireless experience required. C. 4 year hands on experience in maintenance, operation, troubleshooting design, implementation and management of data wireless systems. D. Required technologies: Aruba Networks Wireless LAN technologies, Clearpass and Airwave appliances, Cisco Wireless controller technologies, Aruba and Cisco Wireless access points. E. Experience with Network Access Control (NAC) device capabilities and integration preferred but not required. F. Experience related to VOIP technologies over wireless systems preferred but not required. G. Excellent problem solving skills, written and oral communications. H. Ability to plan and prioritize workload to meet implementation schedules and minimize schedule conflicts. I. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning. IV. Working Conditions Position requires working in an office environment where some physical discomforts such as dust, dirt, noise and the like are present. Ability to work off-hours and weekends for go-lives, testing and emergencies, as well as light travel between office locations, primarily within NYC is required. Occasional meetings or clinical staff interactions in typical patient care areas may be required though direct patient exposure is not expected. Occasional moving of computer equipment or similar objects up to approximately 50lbs may be required to expedite projects. V.
