Previous experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools - Cognos, Hyperion, Qlikview, etc. 3+ years of experience as an MS SQL Server DBA with various database management responsibilities in complex environments. 3+ years of experience coding in an Object Oriented language such as C++, C# or Java. 1+ year in writing complex Excel macros. Ability to clearly communicate concerns about code and collaborate with devs and PMs to effectively solve software challenges and identify the list of bugs to identify the root of a software problem. Passion for software quality, good instincts for how cloud software should behave and what Microsoft customers expect. Outstanding ability to break things in creative ways. Experience with Microsoft Azure/SQL Azure a strong plus. High level of personal accountability and “self-starter” attitude in order to make progress in ambiguous situations. Capability to problem solve by not only identifying bugs, but also narrowing down. College degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related technical discipline is preferred and 4-5 years of experience supporting internet facing enterprise applications. Excellent written and oral communication, project management skills required.
