Comcast envisions Live streaming of High Definition & Standard Definition Media content onto customer owned devices like iPad, iPhone/iTouch & Droid. This device would be considered as an additional set-top connected to home router and providing HTTP live streaming/HTTP streaming of linear TV contents. · 4k content encoding and testing:- · Encoding content received from different source to 4K H264 and HEVC formats at different bitrates and different video encoding profiles. · Testing the encoded content on the 4K TV to verify the best performance. · Testing on various set tops for 4k up conversion of the content. · Testing the HEVC encoded streams on various HEVC decoders · Support for preparing the content for various demo activities and Cable Shows.
