- Large enterprise environment (1000+ servers)
- VMware - solution type work, 1/2 of Unix is on virtual machines
- Perl/php/shell running scripts
- Great communication

Day-to-Day
This person will be the top escalation point for any Linux related issues
in the operational team. This person will not be doing project based work.
They need to have experience with advanced troubleshooting Linux related
issues, and mentoring/guiding the L2 staff. Examples of issues they'll be
supporting) Server rebooting itself every 3 hours, server having
performance issues, diagnostic issues, an application running on Linux and
not performing right, advanced configuration, adding disk space, adding SAN
space. They'll be supporting 12,000 servers.
