The individual is responsible for developing software code using Python or PERL scripting languages on a Linux platform to interface with other software systems. *Position Responsibilities:* · Develop function specific software code from written specifications and requirements · Create and maintain software design specifications · Support configuration management of developed software · Coordinate software development efforts with both internal and external partners · Work under minimal supervision of a mentor/ team leader *Basic Qualifications:* · Fluent understanding of structured programming languages (PERL, Python required) · Work with SOAP Web Services · Create scripted SQL database queries · Experience with Linux (Red Hat), including Unix shell scripting. · Experience with Object Oriented programming. · Solid knowledge of IP networking and protocols. · Experience with Unit Test · Strong understanding of software configuration management practices and principles · Familiarity with MS Office – WORD, EXCEL, MS Project, Outlook · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Ability to interface well with peers and technical contacts from other disciplines *Desired/Preferred Qualifications:* · Write clean and well architected Python code · Write code that scales well and is easily maintainable by other developers · Understanding of automated Manufacturing Systems and wafer probe processes is a plus · Experience developing software in a development environment and releasing to a production environment.
