*Job Title:* Scrum Master
*location: *Hartford CT
*Duration: *6+ C2C

Responsibilities:
Act as Scrum master for 1-2 scrum teams with a focus on guiding the teams
towards improving the way they work.
Facilitate sprint planning, retrospective and sprint demos
Assist the product owner with keeping the backlog groomed
Ensure cross-team coordination
Reach out to the larger company network for impediment removal
Maintain relevant metrics that help the team see how they are doing
Coach and mentor other scrum masters in our product team. Ensure that our
ways of working are consistent across the teams.
Liaise between the developers and User Experience/Visual Designers. Foster
better communication between the disciplines.
Act as a liaison to assigned project manager. Take responsibility for
managing dependencies between our team and third parties, release
managers, or between our team and other scrum teams.
Actively contribute to the company’s Agile and Lean Community through
participation in the internal Agile Community of Practice and
Scrum Master Forums.

Requirements:
4+ years of IT experience
2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
1+ year experience as a Scrum Master working on large scale, multiple Scrum
team projects
Experience acting as a Scrum Master for multiple scrum teams
Experience with Rally

Facilitative – Must be able to lead and demonstrate value-add principles to
a team

authority, make the tough calls.
Situational Awareness – Must be the first to notice differences and issues
as they arise and elevate them to management
Enthusiastic – Must be high-energy
Continual improvement - Must continually be growing ones craft learning new
tools and techniques to manage oneself and a team
Conflict resolution - Must be able to facilitate discussion and facilitate
alternatives or different approaches
Attitude of empowerment - Must be able to lead a team to self-organization
Attitude of transparency – Must desire to bring disclosure and transparency
to the business about development and grow business trust
Quick learner – Must be able to quickly gain a high level understanding of
the technical and business domains of the Scrum teams
Understanding of basic fundamentals of iterative development
Understand basic fundamentals of software development processes and
procedures
Understanding of backlog tracking, turndown metrics, velocity, and task
definition
Understanding of incremental delivery and the value of metrics
Excellent English communication skills in written and spoken form

Assets:
Scrum Master Industry certification
Healthcare experience
Understanding of other processes and methodologies and can speak
intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide
value to a team/enterprise
Understanding of the value of commitments to delivery made by a development
team
Familiarity with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and
better development practices
Participation in industry agile communities
