*Job Title: *Solution Architect *Location: *Hartford, CT *SUMMARY OF POSITION:* The Solution Architect is a key member of Cigna Information Management organization, responsible for the overall design of healthcare based data and reporting application solutions. This role requires the translation of business requirements into technical requirements. The Solution Architect works in concert with the Development Lead, Business Lead, and other Scrum Team members in an agile process to deliver high quality and efficient healthcare solutions for our clients and customers *RESPONSIBILITIES:* · Lead Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions guiding the delivery team through the storyboarding process resulting in groomed stories ready for development Support multiple delivery teams across various data domains (Claims, Pharmacy, Clinical, et. Al.) · Share best practices and be consultative to teams and stakeholders throughout duration of the project Guide the production of detailed functional design documents including application and data flows and data models illustrating solutions that match customer requirements · Look for appropriate Service Layer opportunities to provide consumer abstraction where applicable Provide current best practice and 3rd Party solution alternatives as part of the functional design document Guide Scrum teams when complicated design problems or issues arise. *PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:* · Ability to understand complex Healthcare business requirements and convert them into actionable solution designs · Should have participated in, and be familiar with Agile (Scrum) project methodology and practices · Requires strong prototyping skills to adequately explore data and application solutions and Solution Design experience using Visio or other type of diagramming tool Experience in Test Driven Development and SDLC methodology. · Should have hands-on expertise in building Database Solutions (Teradata, Oracle, DB2) with deep understanding of SQL Data Modelling Skills and Understanding Data Hierarchies Required Experience with enterprise integration tools and extract, transformation and load (ETL) tools like Informatica · Strong presentation and communication skills Knowledge in service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture using ReST or SOAP · Experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints · Must demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering software that optimizes architecture activities across company needs, business constraints and technological realities · Understanding of team leadership, business practices and their application to effective project management. · Strong analytical, communication and technical skills. · Able to foster working relationships with the team and client departments · Experience Managing On-Shore, Near-Shore, and Off-Shore teams -- Warm Regards, Harpal Singh | Virtusoft Inc T: 508-656-8689 |F: 302-374-1085 |E: harpal.si...@virtusoft.us |W: www.virtusoft.us -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "it req" group.
