*Position Description:*

Medtronic Diabetes is seeking an associate technical writer who can author
and edit product assembly procedures (APs). This writer should have the
ability to research, organize, and produce assembly procedures that are
operation-specific, by working closely with different project engineers and
production supervisors to determine the work content of each specific
operation.

*EDUCATION REQUIRED*:

• Bachelor’s Degree

 *EXPERIENCE* *REQUIRED:*

• 1 year technical writing experience

*SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED *

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Aptitude to learn new product technologies, structured development
processes, and corporate guidelines pertaining to document release and
control

•Be able to work independently and with teams

•Skilled in use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Visio)

*DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*

Degree in English, Technical Communication, or Journalism preferred.

•Ability to produce documents and manage files in a controlled systems
environment

*POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES*:

• Gain familiarity with the existing Assembly Procedures for four
Implantable Pump products, working with production supervisors and,
assemblers and technicians in a cleanroom production environment.

• Interview subject matter experts and observe actual assembly operations
to determine if AP content is complete and clearly details the actual work
performed.

• Author child APs that focus on a single operation, based on current AP
and inputs from SMEs.

• Ensure quality deliverables are created and released.

• Follow standards and procedures as required.

• Perform peer editing duties to ensure that the child APs meet all
applicable regulatory and quality requirements.
