*Job Description*



Net Application Architect is responsible for designing, developing, testing
and maintaining applications based on defined business and technical
requirements. This position will set standards for .NET software
development and assist with technical training and implementation of these
standards. The role is required to work with a variety of personnel to
create, test and deploy solutions to resolve business and technology
challenges. The role will require working effectively both in a structured
team as well as an independent resource. This is a hands on position
requiring a practical architecture approach as well as development and
implementation skills.



*POSITION DESCRIPTION:*


   - Work with technical teams to develop appropriate .NET development
   standards.
   - Build initial framework for implementation patterns
   - Training of internal employees on usage of developed patterns.
   - Participate in SDLC tollgate reviews. (Requirements, Design, Code)
   - Key resource for implementation and growth of TFS and Microsoft ALM
   platform.
   - Drive technical direction and implementation of Enterprise Services,
   including interfaces, security, and conformed values.
   - Lead development on special projects that may need to be completed
   within tight timelines.
   - Develop patterns for system documentation and promote maintenance of
   them as part of SDLC
   - Work with Development teams, DBA’s, Business Analysts and customers to
   understand and validate problem domains and then assist with appropriate
   technical and business solutions.
   - Adherence to development standards for all projects and create all
   appropriate SDLC artifacts as part of project assigned for completion.
   - Complete development/programming as described in design specifications.
   - Prepare unit test plans and execute unit testing
   - Participate in system and user acceptance testing tasks as assigned.
   - Provide end-user support for assigned applications (includes some
   on-call support during non-business hours.)
   - Maintain integrity of applications, follow standards.
   - Investigate and resolve system problems in a timely manner.
   - Develop strong relationships with partners and end-users that allow
   work to move forward with a common understanding.
   - Mentor other developers with respect to development best practices and
   new technologies.
