I will appreciate your response at the earliest, as the managers tend to move fast! *Job Title Systems Security **Architect** (7774)* *Project Location Minneapolis, MN 55432* *Duration 6+ months* *Description:* Title is Systems Security Engineer, please note we are looking for Systems Security, please outline this experience in the submittal. *POSITION DESCRIPTION: * The Principle Engineer position will provide Security leadership for the Neuro Research Technology and Development organization associated with the Neuromodulation solutions. Specifically the candidate will lead the integration of Information Security in the RTD programs, to ensure that patient safety and information security are never compromised. The candidate will work cross-functionally with the R&D teams to ensure that: • Neuro solutions are architected and designed for the highest level of security, • Relevant security risks are identified and evaluated • Engineering decisions are made to support security. • Solutions released comply to the latest regulatory or standard requirements The candidate *will also lead the Systems Engineering teams* in the development and testing of security requirements. He will be responsible to develop project security management deliverables for regulatory bodies to comply with standards / guidance documents, and communicate with regulatory bodies as required by the program. Finally the candidate will lead a cross functional team of security experts within the Neuro RTD organization to create, improve and implement security design/ testing best practices and will be the interface with the Medtronic security council. ______________________________________________________________________ *POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: * Lead product security-related throughout the lifecycle of Neuro solutions. This includes but not limited to: security requirements definition, flow down and verification, security design architecture at system and implementation through products, risk management activities to identify areas where a development project must implement specific security controls and recommendations for system wide security enhancements, risk assessment and mitigation plans for market –released products. Assist in the development of security-related abuse cases to identify security risks. Identify options for mitigating security-related risks, and assist the Systems Engineering team in evaluating these options. Manage security-related deliverables for regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with key standards / guidance documents. Represent security activities in communications with regulatory bodies. Contribute to Medtronic’s understanding of current industry best practices and how they can be applied to Neuro Products. Applies advanced technical principles, theories and concepts. Lead across the RTD organization the development of processes, best practices leading to improve Neuro position as it relates to Information and Product security. Works under consultative direction toward long range goals and objectives. Develops advanced technical ideas and guides their development into final product. Lead/ assist activities to sustain/ develop organic or inorganic security testing capabilities in alignment with Medtronic testing strategies. Maintains a high level of technical knowledge on security. ______________________________________________________________________ *BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: * Broad experience with *information and systems security*. Demonstrated experience with *Risk Management and Systems Engineering processes*. Demonstrated ability to develop and grow productive, trusting and open relationships with a wide variety of constituencies. Demonstrated *leadership, team work skills and project management*. Demonstrated ability to communicate across organizations and geographies in a crisp manner. Demonstrated very strong analytical problem solving skills. Proven record of working without extensive direction. *DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience in Healthcare industry or other heavily regulated industry. In-depth understanding of system development lifecycle methodologies. Experience with security of embedded technology. Prior security design experience in critical industries such as *DOD, DOE, NSA* Mobile Application security testing background Experience with *Android and iOS security, cloud security* Experience with *Clinical IT and Clinical IT Security stakeholders* In-depth *medical device systems* knowledge and experience Wireless communication systems knowledge and experience.
