"This Staff Systems Engineer position is within the Storage Engineering Team and falls under Global Systems Engineering. This position will evaluate, architect, design, build, test, and document new storage and backup infrastructure, as well as serve as a Level 3 escalation point for existing infrastructure. This position is expected to interact with Finance, Sourcing, Asset Management, Product Development, Operations, Audit and Risk, and various groups within Technology and Operations. This role must have strong communication and analytical skills, and prior experience in driving process improvements. This role is expected to participate in devising the technology strategy and engineering standards for Visa's Storage infrastructure. *RESPONSIBILITIES* · Responsible for the design, implementation, security and availability of Storage, Backups and SAN infrastructure, based on business requirements while adhering to tight operations, security, and procedural models · Responsible for complex provisioning, advanced maintenance, data replication, disaster recovery, data migration and documentation for our Open Systems Storage and Backup environments · Demonstrate a high level of technical expertise to support complex Storage & Backup devices, including SAN, NAS and Backup solutions across all tiers, under minimal supervision · Operate in complex, highly-secure, highly-available, operations-centric datacenter environments and interact with other technology domain experts as required, to build and maintain the Open Systems Storage and Backups solutions in those datacenter environments · Function as the Storage lead on key infrastructure projects and initiatives · Write technical design and build documentation for storage infrastructure · Develop ITIL procedures, technology strategy, engineering standards, methodologies, task-plans and best practices for Storage Engineering · Work with other Engineering disciplines to develop Reference Architectures and technology standards based on Infrastructure Building Blocks, that can be offered as services to our internal customers · Mentor junior team members · Participate in ""On-call"" support rotation · Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field is preferred · Five or more years of solid experience working in SAN/Storage/Backup Administration · Experience working in large, complex, enterprise datacenter environments · Expert knowledge in designing, deploying and supporting Open Systems, Enterprise SAN, NAS and Backup solutions in a private cloud model · Extensive storage networking background is preferred · Strong knowledge of OS fundamentals for UNIX, Linux and/or Microsoft platforms · Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies and products from VMware, RedHat or Microsoft · Strong knowledge of blade system architectures (HP, Cisco, IBM or Dell) · Hands-on experience with EMC and/or HDS Enterprise and Midrange storage arrays · Hands-on experience with Brocade and/or Cisco SAN Switches and Routers · Hands-on experience with Isilon and/or NetApp NAS storage arrays · Experience installing, configuring, supporting and maintaining Enterprise Backup solutions comprising disk-based VTLs · Hands-on experience with Symantec NetBackup and/or EMC DataDomain · Experience with UNIX (Linux, AIX, Solaris), VMware or other hypervisors, and Windows operating environments · Experience with storage configuration, volume management and path management software tools (LVM, Native MPIO, EMC PowerPath, HDS HDLM, etc.) · Experience with Disaster Recovery as it relates to storage systems and data recovery techniques, including disk replication, snapshots and disaster recovery best practices · Ability to write technical design and build documentation for all aspects of Storage and Backup infrastructur · Expert analysis and troubleshooting skills for the end-to-end storage and backup stack (VMs, hosts, SAN switches, Storage & Backup devices) · Experience in system monitoring tools and techniques for supporting SAN, NAS and Backups operations, alerting and remediation · Scripting proficiency in both Windows and UNIX environments · Ability to lead cross-functional teams on key infrastructure projects · Strong, hands-on technical and engineering expertise allied with business acumen · Strong planning, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills · Excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong inter-personal skills · Demonstrated ability to rapidly self-learn new technologies and paradigms · Storage and ITIL related certifications are preferred Hi Associate, Hope you are doing great! "This role is an individual contributor responsible for applying skills and knowledge to perform specified support functions. DBA with Oracle Database experience to be involved with Visa's High Availability Tier 0 systems. Primary duties will be to support and resolve Database problems; to plan, execute and manage database server implementations and to ensure all security, quality and compliance requirements are met. Tasks include monitor and tune production db servers. Backup, restore, administer, run scripts and control access on db servers. DBA is also expected to develop scripts to automate tasks. Integrate database support with overall Visa Open systems operations. Provide steps for performance improvement. Respond to BMC Remedy tickets. Provide high level database management with recommendations regarding database management Issues and planning and use of data resources . Support may require 24x7 for all database servers on a rotating basis, with a willingness to work weekends when required · Minimum 8 years' work experience in Oracle RAC Database Administration. Oracles EBS support experience is required. · Comprehensive background with physical DBA support in a complex environments. · Database skills must include: Installation/Upgrade of the database software on UNIX/Windows/Linux platforms, RMAN backup and recovery of the Oracle Database, performance tuning, migration, data guard replication, configuration and security administration. · Knowledge of Oracle Grid Control is required. In-depth knowledge of DB Server performance tuning. · Familiarity of the Data Movement utilities. · Familiarity with Database Appliances such as Exadata. · Good Knowledge of Golden Gate Replication and Unix scripting. · Experience in Informix/SQL server/MySQL Administration is a plus. · Oracle Streams is a plus. · Good understanding of the Linux/UNIX environments.
