*Job Title: Senior Applications Specialist (TIBCO DEVELOPER)* *Vertical: Healthcare* *Location: Dayton, OH* *Senior Applications Specialist Overview:* *Top Required Skillsets* *TIBCO, C# Web Service, EDI* *Experience with Rules Engine and developing integration services in SOA architecture* *Experience with design and developing of applications/ services utilizing C# Web Services/ TIBCO Business Works.* *Senior Applications Specialist Job Responsibilities: * · Lead technical projects from inception/design through implementation. · Coordinate vendor relationships and commitments on project involvement/deliverables. · Design and implement systematic approaches and alternatives · Identify and document business requirements for new development projects and prepare detailed technical specifications from which programs or infrastructure can be built. · Conduct preliminary studies to define needs and determine feasibility · Confer with clients and analyze business/functional requirements · Develop procedures for moving program changes, enhancements, etc. into IT production processing. · Understand and relate business/functional requirements to application/infrastructure requirements. · Lead service support activities and initiatives · Initiate and lead support activities including problem analysis, technical evaluation, work estimates, and implementation services. · Provide expert technical support for managing application involving diverse platforms · Coordinate support or project activities with all applicable constituents including customers using the systems, IT staff supporting the systems, vendors/third parties, and/or business managers. · Identify and lead, as assigned, resources and communications to facilitate work completion. · Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of application platforms, industry directions, and trends · Provide technical guidance, training, and work direction to less experienced engineers · Demonstrate technical proficiency in development and implementation of medium and complex systems and/or computing infrastructure through ability to guide others. · Strong learning competency and ability to teach others. · Advanced troubleshooting and problem solving capabilities · Assist other IT team members in understanding policies, operating procedures, and responsibilities · Mentor and train new IT team members to assist them in orientation to policies, procedures, and responsibilities. · Provide ongoing mentorship and support for questions, problems, and ideas. · Serve as an escalation point for system engineers to escalate problems and inquiries requiring further evaluation beyond the associated skill level. · Establish and maintain professional working relationships between IT and its customers and constituents. · Ability to uncover business challenges and articulate, author documentation and develop custom solutions to solve those challenges · Represent IT in project and/or business meeting and engagements. · Lead conference calls or visits with vendors/third parties. · Ability to collaborate with and motivate multiple groups toward accomplishing a task. · Takes leading role or assists in software changes to the computing systems environment. · Plans and performs software installations and/or configurations. · Participates or coordinates testing activities. · leads implementation activities and post-production support and communications. · Prepares documentation and training materials for applicable constituents including customers using the system, IT staff supporting the systems, vendors/third parties, and/or business managers. · Documents changes for all affected parties. · Perform other duties as requested. *Senior Applications Specialist Job Requirements: * · BS degree in MIS or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience. · 5+ Years’ experience working in a medium or large operating environment supporting 1,000,000+ transactions per month. · 3+ Years’ experience supporting a minimum 100 person computing community. · 2+ years of programming or system analysis experience. · Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications. · Overall knowledge and understanding of IT environment. · Applicable technical certifications preferred. i.e. MCSE; MCSD, MCDBA CISSP. · Understanding of IIS 7.0 modular architecture and workloads. · Experience Securing Web sites and Web application pools. · Advanced Experience of Troubleshooting Web servers, sites and applications. · Mastery of scripting tools and command line tools. · Tuning IIS to improve performance. · Working knowledge of J2EE and C#. · Plan a high-availability solution that uses clustering services. · Plan a high-availability solution that uses Network Load Balancing. · Advanced troubleshooting and problem solving capabilities. · 4+ years of Experience in System Administration and Operations experience on Windows and Linux platforms. · SQL and HTML authoring skills. · Excellent oral and written communication skills. · Ability to manage time effectively. · Troubleshooting and problem determination skills. · Understand business modeling terminology. · Effective organization and prioritization skills. · Effective facilitation and interpersonal skills. · Effective management and leadership skills. · Ability to keep current on technologies through self-directed learning.
