The candidate should be able to travel to Canada office when required. *Job Description* This role will report to Sr. Management within the Platform Engineering organization. The accountability for the role include but are not limited to the following: * Leverage Python and Java development skills to assess and maintain current automation scripts and tools used to manage distributed platform products * Work with partners and team members within Technology to lay out a strategy of converging Python and Java management scripts/tools to current management frameworks and processes following best practices, standards and policies/guidelines. * Familiar with API development * Familiar with decomposing applications into micro services *Job Requirements:* * 3-5 years of Python experience * 1-3 years of system administration experience * 3-5 years of middleware or database experience * Development experience on Unix or Windows operating systems * Unix and Windows system administration experience * System configuration management experience and infrastructure as code * Familiar with template frameworks such as jinja and groovy * Experience with containerization and container orchestration * Experience with building automation pipelines and unit testing * Proven technical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to isolate root causes. * Experience with DevOps practices and working within an agile development cycle * Experience integrating open source and closed source software * Experience with private and public cloud technologies * Experience with open source middleware and database technologies * Familiar with common network protocols and software defined networking *Additional Information* * Able to manage effectively in a highly matrixed environment. * Highly motivated individual with a track record of successfully implementing solutions across line of business boundaries. * Must be able to work with a pool of experts and ensure high levels of service even when the effort crosses organizational boundaries. * Comfortable leading through change and recognized as a champion for continuous improvement. * Thrives in a fast paced environment, managing multiple deadlines and competing priorities. * Strong communicator, with excellent oral, written and presentation skills. *Education and Accreditation* * University or post-graduate degree * The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background (e.g. computer science, engineering) Please respond with *Resume, Rate, Current Location and Phone numbers of the Consultant*.
