Dear All, Terima kasih atas respon2nya. rupanya memang benar Acer Aspire 4720 ini adalah builtin SATA. Saya sudah mencoba beberapa cara:
1. memakai floppy, driver SATA dari CD ataupun dari official websitenya (bukan persis model laptopnya) 2. pake nlite untuk menambah driver di instalasi windows xp nya. namun kedua cara tersebut sama2 menghasilkan blue screen di step intalasinya : "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damag to your computer. bla bla bla" Saya coba browsing dan tidak satupun driver ditemukan untuk windows xp untuk model ini, yg ada hanya untuk vista. saya coba paksaiin untuk memasang driver untuk seri dibawahnya (4710 ataupun diatasnya 5000 cmiiw). namun hasilnya tetep tidak bisa. Actually I've been facing the same problem for three days. I've just discovered what actually the problem is. Aspire 4270 uses SATA hardisk but it's not supported by Win XP installer and Acer hasn't supplied the drivers in the BIOS or something like that. That's why the hardisk is detected in the BIOS but Win XP installer will give you message; no recognise disk. I've took out the hardisk and using it as external hardisk via USB. Win XP installer detected the hardisk but still couldn't install the OS. Then I found this forum. ;) 'bambamitsdead' and 'singchi' are correct. Unfortunately I couldn't find the drivers from Acer's website. I'm not sure wether it's in the CD that comes in the package because I'm helping my friend and he don't give me any CD.
