Hi Jianhua,

If you want a better answer, i guess you have to wait for others to answer 
your question.  I'm learning how to use iText myself.  The way I set to next 
line is setting position like what you mention.

template.showText("Pre-Release" );
template.moveText(0,-40 ) ;
template.newlineShowText("try");

That's the only way I know.  So, if you have easier way, let me know too.
