There was no time to work further on XML support. http://www.lowagie.com/iText/tutorial/ch07.html gives you some examples and the example in Chapter 12 can be inspiring too. I know there are some people who have used XSLs to convert XML-files with their own DTD into XMLs with iText tags. But in order to know what every iText tag does, you will have to dig into the code, because the iText DTD is not up to date at all.
